ENGLISH COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR

BRENNAN REECE:

EVERGLOW

plus support by Chris Washington

'A poignant and wonderful Fringe debut from an archetypal outsider' The List

Another highly acclaimed, successful  Edinburgh Fringe show comes to The Swan - . We'll let Brennan introduce himself...

"Hello!

I'm the English Comedian of the Year and 'EVERGLOW' is my debut show.

In Australia and at The Edinburgh Fringe it sold out – I know that sounds like bragging, but I don't know another way to explain that people liked it.

I've also appeared on BBC, ITV, E4 and supported Joe Lycett on tour.

Still bragging. I just really like doing comedy and if you come and see me, I reckon you'll like it too."

Talking Stock Productions present

"GODFREY'S LAST STAND"

a play by Alan Stockdill

Author of 'Le Grand Return', winner of Greater Manchester Fringe Best New Writing 2015

What would you do if you suddenly came into money... lots of money…???

Would you seize the chance to fulfil a lifelong dream? What about those closest to your heart?

Godfrey Shackleton has been a cricket umpire in the Yorkshire Dales league for half a century. Is it ever too late in life to have dreams?

This feel-good, gentle comedy will bring laughter, a few tears - and really make the audience think about family, forgiveness, responsibilities, hopes and dreams.

Alan Stockdill is the author of 'Le Grand Return', winner of Greater Manchester Fringe Best New Writing 2015.

Nominated for Best Production: Buxton Fringe.

“Unashamedly tear-jerking at times, humorous most of the time and with an ending that only a Yorkshireman could dream up, I say get along and see this before it goes.”

 Ian Parker Heath, Buxton Fringe

“A well-played, gentle comedy that you’d be exceptionally hard-hearted not to be moved, if not actually bowled over, by.”

Kevin Bourke, Manchester Theatre Awards
